Meet Our Board of Trustees

John Casey, Chairman

John epitomizes the essence of a contemporary Renaissance figure, seamlessly navigating the domains of business, education, and faith. His journey commenced within his family's beer-wholesaling enterprise, where he cultivated a versatile skill set, progressing from manual labor to executive leadership. Despite his deep involvement in the business realm, John's path veered towards a calling in the Catholic priesthood during his tenure at LSU. Graduating from St. Joseph Seminary College, he embraced a culture of reflective introspection, nurturing a steadfast commitment to excellence and moral integrity. Transitioning from seminary studies to political campaigns and corporate stewardship, John demonstrated a knack for innovation and resilience in the face of challenges. He furthered his education by earning an MBA from Nicholls State University. His tenure in the beer industry was marked by transformative initiatives, resulting in substantial growth and empowerment for employees. Beyond his professional pursuits, John remains devoted to his Catholic faith and community engagement, spearheading initiatives to revitalize institutions like the Lumen Christi Retreat Center and serving on the pastoral council for St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Additionally, as a founding visionary and leader in educational ventures such as Holy Trinity Academy and Chesterton Academy of Holy Trinity, where he presently serves as chairman of the board of trustees. Moreover, John is committed to fostering excellence within the Catholic business community. As a three-year member of Legatus, an organization for Catholic business executives, he established a national forum for business best practices and leadership development, currently overseeing 250 members and hosting a national annual Catholic Economic Forum conference. Active in civic organizations like the Rotary Club and his local chamber of commerce, John remains steadfast in his dedication to faith, family, education, and the pursuit of societal betterment, embodying enduring values of truth, goodness, and beauty.
