Grandparent’s Day and St. Joseph Altar

On March 19, the school celebrated Grandparent's Day with Mass on campus and the blessing of our St. Joseph Altar in honor of St. Joseph's Feast Day. The altar was beautifully decorated with all of the St. Joseph Altar symbols: cross, dove, lamb, fish, Bible, Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Crown of Thorns, Psalm, and fava beans.  This tradition of the St. Joseph's Altar began in Sicily among the people who were devoted to their Catholic Faith and St. Joseph.
